Newton Investment Management has lost analyst James Lowen, who is following former star manager Clive Beagles to rival JO Hambro Capital Management.

The move comes a month after Newton lost Ezra Sun, a fund manager from its Asian equities team, and Beagles, the manager of Newton's flagship £1.5bn (€2.3bn) higher income fund for JO Hambro in April. Theresa Egan, who manages a high-yield bond fund at Newton, also revealed in April that she was leaving to join Old Mutual Asset Managers.
