Euan Munro, the former chief executive of Aviva Investors, has been named as the next boss of smaller UK fund management rival Newton Investment Management.

Aviva Investors, the £355bn fund management arm of the UK-listed insurance group, 

 that Munro was departing as CEO following seven years in the top job. Mark Versey was named as his replacement.
