If it is true that lawyers move very slowly, then the best place to hold a legal community award ceremony must be London's Natural History Museum, an edifice best known for its collection of fossilised dinosaur bones. Last week, Legal Week magazine duly inaugurated its in-house lawyer awards there, presenting Deutsche Bank with a prize for best banking and finance lawyers, and Clifford Chance with one for most admired firm by its peer group. Rumour has it that the court adjourned to the Dorchester Club for post-dinner drinks and dancing before being finally ejected in the small hours. The case continues.
