A senior private banker named as one of Financial News's Rising Stars in European markets last year, has joined the Monaco office of Swiss bank UBS as an executive director in its ultra-wealthy private client business.

Forty year-old Nicholas Vlachos started work this morning in UBS's Monaco office, based at 2 Avenue Grande-Bretagne, in the heart of Monte-Carlo. He will lead the ultra-wealthy Greek private client onshore and offshore business in what is a newly-created role.
