An insurance specialist who helped manage $15 billion at Goldman Sachs Asset Management has joined rival JP Morgan as the world's biggest investment houses battle it out for new insurer business.

Nick Malangone joined JP Morgan Asset Management, which oversees $1.7 trillion, in London in December, the group confirmed in a January 15 statement. He is working in its $194 billion multi-asset solutions team as an executive director and insurance portfolio manager.
