Nigeria takes steps to develop infrastructure

Government officials fear a dearth of adequate infrastructure in Nigeria will hinder progress

Africa is often cited as a prime target for investors hoping to capture growth in developing countries. And Nigeria, the most populous country on the continent, offers plenty of opportunities and is an increasingly popular target of international investment.

The country is often named as one of the key markets for debt and equity investments by investors seeking exposure to frontier and emerging markets. It is the second largest constituent of the MSCI Frontier Markets index and has one of the more liquid capital markets among frontier markets, making it an appealing target.
