Nikko plans $640m asset manager float

Nikko Asset Management, the Japanese fund arm of securities house Nikko Cordial, is aiming to sell about ¥75bn ($640m) of shares in a flotation on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Nikko Cordial owns 62% of the fund manager with the remainder owned by an investment group including US private equity firm Warburg Pincus and a unit of the Government of Singapore Investment Fund.
