Nine Wall Street banks named in Enron lawsuits

Amended lawsuits filed on Monday on behalf of Enron's employees and investors name nine banks, including Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan Chase, Credit Suisse First Boston and Citigroup, as defendants.

The lawsuits contend that the web of complex financial transactions that hid debts and eventually led to the collapse of Enron would not have been possible without advice from banks and lawyers.
