Nomura adds another Americas leveraged finance banker

The move follows the Japanese bank’s hiring of a leveraged finance managing director from Barclays last month

Nomura has poached Garrett Carpenter, a leveraged finance capital markets managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, according to people familiar with the matter.

Carpenter, who sells leveraged loans and high yield bonds to institutional investors, a process known as syndication, will join the bank in September after a period of so-called gardening leave, one of the people said.
