Nomura International has hired several debt market professionals in recent weeks as part of its bid to improve its performance outside Japan.

The debt capital markets division, run by Shigesuke Kashiwagi, is in the process of rebuilding core competency in global markets, having dominated much of the Japanese capital markets for some time.
