Nomura has appointed a co-head of cash equities in the US to join its growing roster of capital market bankers in the country, where it continues the aggressive expansion plans it began last summer.

The Japanese bank has hired Paul Sangimino as co- head of US cash equities alongside Pascal Bandelier, according to a source close to the situation. He joins from Citigroup. A spokesman for Nomura declined to comment.
