Ex-Deutsche duo join Nomura's US advisory push

Japanese firm's efforts to build a competitive investment bank across the pond receive a further boost with the arrival of two bankers to its natural resources team

Nomura has appointed two former senior bankers at Deutsche Bank as global co-heads of its natural resources and power team in the US, where the Japanese firm plans to add 60 investment bankers this year.

Nomura has hired Jim DeNaut, previously co-head of global banking Americas at Deutsche, and Michael Hill, the German bank's global co-head of natural resources, as global co-heads of natural resources alongside Shaun Treacy, who is based in London.
