Nomura has hired a dealmaker from boutique investment bank Moelis & Company for its team advising companies in the consumer sector.

The Japanese bank has taken on Marco Acaia as a managing director in its consumer and retail investment banking team, according to three people with knowledge of the move. A Nomura spokesman confirmed the appointment.
