Nomura Securities has hired Carter Harris from Merrill Lynch to be head of North American debt capital markets (DCM).

Harris joins the Japanese bank after 15 years with Merrill. For the past eight years he was a managing director in DCM, including global head of money markets, reporting to Jimmy Quigley, global head of capital markets based in New York.
