Nomura, the Japanese bank that has fundamentally reshaped its equities business over the past 18 months, has appointed a former Credit Suisse veteran to run its trading business for the asset class globally.
The bank has named Todd Sanoz as global head of equity trading and execution services; the latter comprises equity execution services including Instinet, prime services, electronic trading, and future, options and over-the-counter clearing. He will report to Steve Ashley, head of global markets, and Naoki Matsuba, co-head of global markets.
