Nomura revamps equity research team

The Japanese bank promotes two equity strategists to share the responsibilities of Ian Scott, who has stepped down as research head after 17 years

Nomura has made two senior promotions in equity research following a departure at the top of the research division. The hires in London and Hong Kong replace Ian Scott, the head of equity strategy and quantitative research, who leaves after 17 years at the Japanese bank.

Scott's duties will be split between Michael Kurtz, appointed global head of equity strategy, and Inigo Fraser-Jenkins, appointed global head of quantitative strategy.
