Emea chief resigns from Nomura

Sadeq Sayeed, Nomura's chief executive in Europe and one of the driving forces behind the acquisition and integration of Lehman Brothers' European and Asian operations, has announced his resignation after more than a decade with the Japanese bank.

Sayeed, chief executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, was one of the chief negotiators on the deal to buy Lehman's European and Asian operations in September 2008, and has since overseen the integration and running of the combined business in the Emea region.
