Nomura takes 10% stake in Hands' buy-out fund

Nomura, Japan's biggest brokerage, has sealed its agreement with Guy Hands, the former head of its principal finance group, to manage its principal finance investments, through Terra Firma Capital Partners, Hands' new company.

Under the terms of the agreement with Terra Firma Capital Partners, Nomura will also invest in Terra Firma Capital Partners II, the new private equity fund. Hands is targeting a €3bn ($2.7bn) total for the new fund.
