Nomura taps BofE for new Europe economist

A senior adviser at the Bank of England has joined the ranks at Nomura, where he has taken up the newly-created role as its chief European economist in a move that completes the Japanese bank’s global economic research line-up.

Peter Westaway, who has worked at the Bank of England since 1996, will join Nomura as chief economist for Europe in October and be based in London, according to sources close to the bank.
