Non-US auto bonds find favour with investors

Bonds issued by auto manufacturers with low exposure to the US market, particularly those based in Europe, are enjoying strong demand from the buy-side, according to fixed income analysts.

BMW, the German carmaker that reported healthy results on August 9, is leading the charge in that sector of the European corporate bond market. Fiat, the Italian firm that includes Ferrari among its stable of companies, has also been in demand lately.
