Suzanne Nora Johnson, head of investment research and chairman of the global markets institute at Goldman Sachs, has become one of the most powerful women on Wall Street after being promoted to the position of vice-chairman of the US bank.

Nora Johnson will retain her current positions, as well as continuing as a member of the Goldman Sachs management committee.
