Nordea buys Polish funds business

Nordea, the Nordic financial services group, is to buy the Polish life and pension companies of Sampo, the Finnish insurer, in a deal worth €95m ($115m).

Nordea said the purchase, which includes Sampo PTE, the fifth largest pension fund asset manager in Poland, and Sampo Life, would enable it to grow its existing pensions business in the nascent Polish market.
