Nordea Asset Management, the largest asset manager in the Nordic region with €214.5 billion under management, has named a new chief executive, six weeks after the news its former chief will join giant Danish pension fund ATP in the New Year.

The fund manager confirmed in a statement on December 14 that Nils Bolmstrand, the current head of Nordea's Life & Pensions arm, will start on January 1, 2017. He has also held managerial positions at Skandia and Old Mutual and was named a Rising Star of Asset Management by FN in 2010.
