Nordea Securities has hired David Watson from HSBC to be the UK head of corporate finance, replacing Charlie Hambro, who is to leave the firm at the beginning of June.

Jan Davidsen, Nordea's overall head of corporate finance, said Watson is to join the firm in August. Watson joined HSBC at the end of 2000 to head its Scandinavian coverage in mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets, and was previously a director at Chase Flemings.
