Nordic Capital, the regional private equity firm, has joined CVC Capital Partners, the pan-European buy-out group, for the first time to acquire Leaf, the confectionery division of the international food company, CSM.

Nordic Capital was one of the losers in the final round of bidding for the €850m ($1.1bn) deal which CVC won in December last year.
