Nordic stocks come into vogue

Safe haven status has given a boost to trading volumes of Scandinavian shares

Shares from Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland have accounted for an increasing proportion of total European trading volumes over the past five years, as the region benefits from a "safe haven" status, according to practitioners.

So far this month, trading in Nordic stocks has reached €662 billion, representing 10.2% of total European share trading volumes, according to data from Thomson Reuters.
