Northern Trust, the US financial services group, has hired three vice-presidents in newly created roles to expand its asset servicing sales team for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Ben Williams-Thomas will work on custody sales to European pension funds. He joins from JP Morgan Investor Services where he was a vice-president of sales and marketing for e-Business Solutions from 2001.
