Norton Rose, the international law firm, is to appoint Rich Baumann as partner. Baumann will take up his new position in April.

Baumann is an international securities specialist who qualified in New York, where he went on to work for lawyers Davis Polk & Wardell. He will be reporting to Tom Vita, head of the US securities practise at Norton Rose. Vita also joined from Davis Polk & Wardell in 1998. The appointment of Baumann and other recent additions to the team demonstrated the firm's growing capital markets capability, said Vita.
