Norway to tighten insider trading laws

The Norwegian financial services regulator, Kredittilsynet, has handed a proposal to the Ministry of Finance to tighten the country's insider trading regulations.

The regulator wants to be able to control the increasing number of cases that arise, said an official at Kredittilsynet in Oslo. 'Because of the increase in trading volumes it is natural that more cases come to our attention,' he said.
