Gavyn Davies, the political and City veteran and co-founder of philanthropic think-tank New Philanthropy Capital, has stepped down.

Davies, former chairman of the BBC and now chairman of Fulcrum Asset Management and head of the Fulcrum Investment Committee, is leaving the consultant after eight years as a trustee.
