City investment bank Numis has warned the deal slump will last the remainder of the year after its revenue declined over the past three months.

The UK-focused bank, which relies heavily on equity capital markets activity, said in a trading update that it expected "macro-economic concerns to persist and restrict deal volumes across all investment banking products".
