Nymex, the US commodities market, has become the latest exchange to sign a cross-border deal as it launches Canadian energy derivatives contracts.

Today Deutsche Börse said it is was acquiring a strategic holding in India's Bombay Stock Exchange and last month NYSE Group, which is close to completing its merger with pan-European exchange Euronext, took its second step into Asia by forming a strategic alliance with the Tokyo Stock Exchange after also investing in India.
