NYSE Euronext secured the title of best European stock exchange for the second year running at last night’s Financial News’s Awards for Excellence in Trading and Technology, held at the City of London’s Plaisterers’ Hall.

The transatlantic exchange beat stiff competition from rivals the London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Börse to secure the title, which was in recognition of its efforts to diversify revenues away from its cash equities trading over the last year.
