An Odey Asset Management fund run by portfolio manager James Hanbury, now the largest in the firm's portfolio, is beating founder Crispin Odey’s own hedge fund products.
The Odey Absolute Return fund, which managed $772m of assets as of October 31, according to fund documents, now dwarves the hedge fund manager's former flagship Odey European fund. Assets under management at that fund, which is managed personally by Odey, have dropped from $2.5bn in early 2015 to $184m this summer.
