Fund manager Richard Buxton's decision to swap Schroders for Old Mutual earlier this year has had a quick and positive impact on flows into his new employer.

Assets under management in the Old Mutual UK Alpha Fund, which Buxton now manages, grew from £280 million at the end of April to £520 million by the end of July, according to data from the company.
