Old Mutual Asset Managers has started rebuilding its UK quantitative strategies team to replace David Ross who left earlier this month with three team members to start their own hedge. Eoin Murray, previously with Northern Trust Global Investments, will replace Ross.

A spokesman for Old Mutual said it is in the process of recruiting additional members to the team and hired Charles Bathurst this week to head its hedge funds distribution business.
