Omers Ventures, the venture capital arm of Canadian pension fund Omers, has brought on board former Uber executive Jambu Palaniappan as European managing partner.

Palaniappan, who will be based in London, was previously the head of Uber's food delivery business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He joined Uber in 2012 and led its expansion throughout the Emea region and India. For the past 12 months he has been working as executive-in-residence at London-based venture capital firm Atomico.
