Omers Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System, the Canadian pension scheme, has launched a $750m fund to back early-stage technology companies.
The fund is Omers Ventures’ first transatlantic initiative, targeting investments in new technologies for financial services, workplaces, logistics, healthcare, and property sectors in the UK, Europe, and North America, the group told FN’s sister-publication Private Equity News.
