Omgeo to fix allocations software

Omgeo, the electronic allocation and settlement system, will have to fix a design fault in new equity allocations software designed to bring small US investment firms into the 21st century.

Gordon Marchand, president of Investment Council Association of America, an industry body, and vice-president at investment firm Yeager, Wood & Marshall, welcomed the new product aimed at companies that continue to use faxes and phone calls to confirm allocations after trades are executed.
