Lazard found itself among old friends in a recent convertible bond issue from Club Méditerranée, the French holiday company.
The deal was the first as a bookrunner for Lazard-Ixis, its new equity capital markets joint venture, which replaced a partnership it had with Crédit Agricole Indosuez. That association was unwound when Crédit Agricole merged with Crédit Lyonnais to form Calyon â the joint bookrunner on the Club Med deal.
