One in eight test positive for Covid antibodies as England’s northern regions overtake London

At the virus’ previous peak in May, around 15% of the UK population had antibodies

Approximately a tenth of the UK tested positive for Covid-19 antibodies last month, as infections rose across the country throughout the start of winter.

Data from the Office for National Statistics showed one in eight people in England — or 12% — had antibodies in December last year, up from 8.9% in November and 7% in October.
