One quarter of hedge funds delay reporting August returns

One quarter of the hedge funds in the Credit Suisse First Boston/Tremont index were prevented by the terrorist attacks on the US from reporting their August results

Robert Sloan, chief executive officer of Credit Suisse First Boston Tremont Index, explained that approximately 76% of the funds in the index have reported. These represent 75% of the assets and Sloan felt this was sufficient to release provisional August results, with final results being released when available.
