OppenheimerFunds joins investment research steering committee

A financial industry committee which was set up to standardise the electronic exchange of investment research has added OppenheimerFunds, the US fund management firm, as a new steering committee member, and has appointed a new committee of co-chairmen.

The Research Information Exchange Markup Language organisation, otherwise known as Rixml, aims to combat the confusion resulting from multiple methods of electronic distribution of investment research by developing a protocol, or markup language, which can be used by any financial institution.
