Orc Software, the Swedish trading systems firm, has poached the chief executive of rival Front Capital Systems to head its operations, but he cannot join for another year.

Jonas Lindström will become Orc's chief executive in September 2005. First he has to complete his notice period at Front Capital Systems, part of SunGard, the US software giant, where he has been chief executive since 2000.
