Oslo exchange mulls fee cuts to thwart fresh Nasdaq threat

Norway’s stock exchange may cut its derivative trading fees to fend off a fresh challenge from Nasdaq OMX, after a similar tactic helped it stem the transatlantic exchange’s assault on its equities franchise earlier this year.

Oslo Børs is considering reducing prices for derivative traders in order to "remain competitive" in the face of increasing pressure from Nasdaq, according to a spokesman for Oslo Børs.
