Outsourcing drags Hewitt into the red

Hewitt Associates, the consulting firm hit by a spate of recent departures, was dragged into the red in its third quarter as its outsourcing unit failed to realise profits from contracts signed last year.

The company said losses hit $202m (€157m) in the three months to June 30 compared with profits of $33m for the same period last year.
