Over 50s to be offered vaccine by May

More than 32 million people will have been offered a first dose by the summer, representing around half the population

All adults in the UK aged over 50 will be offered their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine by May.

The Cabinet Office said on 5 February that all nine of the most at-risk groups identified by the government’s vaccine taskforce will have been offered a jab by May, The Guardian reported, allowing local elections planned for that month to go ahead.
