P&O appoints Investec to run £50m for pension scheme

Investec Asset Management, the investment company with more than £17bn (€24bn) in assets, has won a £50m mandate from the pension scheme of P&O, the shipping operator.

Michael Rimmer, UK equity manager at Investec, will run the mandate, which will be invested in equities. P&O want Investec's portfolio to outperform the FTSE All Share by 3% each year.
