PAI Partners has sold its Kwik Fit car servicing business to Japanese trading firm Itochu Corporation in a deal valued at £637m, a source close to the matter told Financial News.

The French private equity firm has made a profit on its original investment in Kwik Fit with a "respectable" internal rate of return in the mid-teens, the source said.
