Paris-based buyout firm PAI Partners has capped its latest fund raise at €5bn amid a surge of investor demand, people familiar with the process have told FN's sister publication Private Equity News.

The firm has turned away some investors and trimmed the allocations of others as appetite to invest with established private equity managers continues to grow, the people said. One added that PAI received €15bn of investor demand.
